[Well, it seems somebody is up and about this morning, and looking fairly invigorated about it; it seems that spending eight hours on a train is amazing for ensuring that she actually sleeps, if for no better reason than there's nothing better to do.

She's been getting a lot of sleep lately, it seems. But that's beside the point.

The point is that she's outside and it's cloudy as hell and just a bit windy but the overall effect is akin to that of a Magikarp in rain - she's got a lot of energy and is moving fast as hell, all while not actually...accomplishing anything of value, um.

At least she's...sort of smiling. In that weird, vague-approximation-of-a-human-expression sort of way she does, where the result is really more like baring teeth.]

You know, I think now is when I should be saying that if I'd known travelling was this nice, I would have done it a lot sooner.

That would be a lie, of course. I don't want to get on that train again.

[She flicks her hair back from her face once that's been said, the motion pointless but giving her something to do with her free hand; she's practically vibrating over there, she's so wound up. Like somebody gave her enough coffee to give her the jitters for the next week.]

But that's beside the point. Has anyone else noticed their Pokémon doing something a bit...different, lately?

Not insanity-different. Battling-different. One of mine has gone a little weird.

One of my idiot co-workers managed to unbreak something that a really stubborn pair of lunatics tried very hard to break.

He's a moron, but sometimes he's a useful one.

So you were dead because the thing was broken, and by unbreaking the broken thing, you came back to life because there was nothing keeping you dead anymore.

Right. And then things got really stupid and said idiot coworker tried to steal my body. Although I guess since he succeeded, it wasn't a matter of "tried."

But everything's fixed now.

Ugh. Now that's obnoxious.

How did you get it fixed?

By teaming up with the mute lunatic who broke the thing in the first place. I had her break it again.

So you broke it with him in it and that fixed it because then he was the one being kept dead by virtue of the broken thing?

Yes. Exactly. And then I was put back in the broken thing, which was set to unbreak itself after that was taken care of.

You're following this much better than most people do.

Let's just say I have a knack for the nonsensical. It comes from years of experience with...employees.

So following this whole great broken and unbroken production, you've ultimately ended up in an unbroken thing and without any morons around to mess it up. That's about how it is?

Yes. I'm likely not going to see the moron again after I go back home.

...of course, he's here now, but that's manageable.

I hope he's not invited to your new workspace. I'd hate to see that broken, too.

Besides, we don't get along well. To put it gently. He spent a good amount of time trying to escape from me; why should he want to track me down now?

He did steal your body. He might be a touch obsessed with you.

Oh. No. That didn't have anything to do with me. That was about getting access to the mainframe so he could leave with his mute lunatic friend.

And he had to steal your body to do that?

Well, it's not like just anyone can access the mainframe.

It still seems like a fairly...elaborate solution to what could be a much simpler problem.

Oh, he likes to think he can. On good days I'd let him pretend. But he has no idea what he's doing.

I've found that tends to follow when you humor people into thinking they're competent while always maintaining your superiority.
