...that said, she won't break away, though whatever bitching she was doing cuts off abruptly and she freezes up a good amount once she's actually out there. She recognizes things, to some extent - they're apparently in the middle of a city, populated with humans, and presumably there are more of these creatures around here somewhere, and some of the humans walk around with theirs out like pets. And there are plants here and there, and there are far more to the south, visible down the street, implying some sort of forest far off in the distance...
At the same time, it's...strange to be out here, with all the natural light and the air that isn't pumped in from the surface, but natural and...admittedly probably full of all sorts of repulsive things, but it's rather refreshing, all things considered.
Is this what it was like for Chell? ...if that's the case, then GLaDOS was way too good to Chell, ugh.
