shakespearealien: (Cross-planetary conundrum)

[Okay, Johto

first, there's Descole, who responds in kind to Gorthan's Shakespeare quotes

and now this, in which Gorthan is being asked to quote his favorite playwright

... he actually has to take a moment to check if he hasn't died and gone to heaven or something equally un-Evronian. Before he brings his best Macbeth. Which is... a rather convincing one, actually. His eyes gleam and his lips quiver with deep inquietude that may or may not be entirely put on.]

"We have scorched the snake, not killed it.
She’ll close and be herself whilst our poor malice
Remains in danger of her former tooth.
But let the frame of things disjoint, both the worlds suffer,
Ere we will eat our meal in fear, and sleep
In the affliction of these terrible dreams
That shake us nightly. Better be with the dead,
Whom we, to gain our peace, have sent to peace,
Than on the torture of the mind to lie
In restless ecstasy."

[Now recomposing himself into his usual cold expression, he awaits feedback.]
